WHO FUNDS GROWING AMBITIONS?
Growing Ambitions derives income from modest fees from education who use the service. We welcome funding in the form of grants from trusts and statutory bodies, philanthropists and corporate sponsorship.
WHY DO WE NEED GROWING AMBITIONS?
Our world is changing fast and we need to equip young people more effectively for their future.
1 Careers Education Teachers and Advisers, Advice & Guidance professionals, Subject Leaders, Careers Coordinators, Curriculum Managers and Student Services Managers all need a quick and easy way to find willing Speakers from the workplace.
2 Working people keen to make a REAL difference, need an easy, quick and effective way of putting something back into their local communities.
3 Growing Ambitions furthers the objectives of educationalists, young people, parents, business, employers, government, skills improvement organisations and workplaces everywhere. For young people keen to better their future, education and training are the keys to upward social mobility.
4 Growing Ambitions gives organisations that first 'taste' of involvement in schools and colleges, that will often grow and develop for mutual benefit. Many Speakers choose subsequently to become school mentors, school governors, and help run enterprise challenges and mentoring programmes. Many also secure the support of their employers in offering young people valuable 'work experience'.
5 By encouraging higher aspirations we are developing a more highly skilled and satisfied workforce and that means a more prosperous and competitive UK.
